Deck the halls with a portrait of your pet 🐶 🐈

I'm already thinking about Christmas decor.

I've only decorated for the holidays for the last few years. It had always felt unnecessary—I always travel and am usually gone for at least a week. But in 2024, I really needed some holiday cheer, so I bought some greenery and string lights. I love their soft glow and our tiny tree.

The tiny tree got me thinking about ornaments, and I've just introduced a pet portrait ornament! It's stitched on felt, like my patches, but the portrait is stuffed and sewn together with the year embroidered on the back. You can hang it on your Christmas tree and then in other places year-round. (I wanted something that could be festive but still be out after the holidays.)

Now is the perfect time to commission a portrait! Order the ornament now, and you'll have it in time for your tree.

See you at Wag Fest tomorrow!

It's my last outdoor event of the year: Wag Fest in Mount Lake Terrace, WA. As the name implies, this is a dog-themed festival. I'm one of the vendors, but that's not all that's happening. There are live demos and other dog-themed activities going on. Last year they did live dog training on stage!

📍In-Person Events

I've got some events and workshops on the calendar for September, October, and November. Join me! And if you're not local to the greater Seattle area, I ship my kits anywhere.

👀 What I'm...

...currently watching: The final season of Hacks. I know this show ended a while ago, but I'm behind. It's so good, and now all the random TikTok clips I've seen make sense.

...currently listening to: I'm training for the Seattle Marathon, so I've been running a lot. My running playlist is truly a weird mix, from show tunes to pop punk from the early aughts.

...currently reading: The Castle by Jon Ronson. I started reading it after an excerpt from this bonkers NYT Magazine article. Ronson is one of my favorite authors, and I'm happy to be diving into another one of his books.

... currently wowing: Everything On A Hat, a brand that makes "interactive hats" using embroidery and some ingenuity. It's fun!
